MJQ is bringing the heavy hitters: Diplo, Aesop Rock

Although MJQ is literally underground, it's not going to stay a secret for long with the big-name DJs coming into town! We already told you about mash-up master Girl Talk's appearance in September, but check out these two recent additions!
September 17th: Diplo
Born Wesley Pent, Diplo is once of the most prolific producers and DJs out there. His remix credits are a mile long and include such heavy-hitters as Gwen Stefani, Kangy West, Bloc Party, Beck, and even The freakin' Beatles (check out the Diplo B'more Edit of Twist and Shout). Together with DJ Low Budget, Diplo runs Philadelphia-based club and music collective Hollertronix.
As an artist, Dilo's influences are far-reaching and diverse. Having grown up in Mississippi, he is known to drawn on a number of Southern influences including "crunk" and "Miami bass." He is also known incorporate a number of world beats, especially baile funk which discovered while traveling through Brazil.
For those of you like the juicy gossip, Diplo has also been romantically connect to British rapper M.I.A.
November 20 - Aesop Rock
Aesop Rock is one of the most highly acclaimed independent hip hop artists today. He is signed to El-P's Definite Jux label (commonly referred to as Def Jux). Aesop Rock is known for his highly personal narrative and masterful rhymes. Like a real poet, Aesop Rock skillfully employs the use of metaphors and imagery to tell his story.
