The Pink Spiders and The Horrors at The Rock and Roll Hotel in Washington, DC
The Horrors, a 5-piece outfit from Southend, UK are barely out of their teens, but have already graced the cover of NME with only two limited 7” releases, making them the first band in the magazine’s history to make the cover without a proper full length out. The Horror’s frantic live shows, which are fast and furious, last no more than 15 minutes, and have quickly garnered the band a ferocious reputation.
The Chris Cunningham directed video for single “Sheena is a Parasite”, has already been ‘deemed unsuitable for television’. Not only did they get the elusive Cunningham to direct (his first in eight years), but the video also features Oscar nominated actress Samantha Morton dancing like a nut while squids fly out from under her dress
